New York’s Very Own Throwback Fitness
Ever miss playing kickball instead of running on the treadmill? Who says recess is just for kids! Throwback Fitness in New York City is putting the fun back in fitness by incorporating competition and nostalgia into their fitness classes.
Teamwork
Co-founders Ryan Wilke and Brian Gallagher both had a passion for fitness and found it to be a way to deal with day to day stress. They believe that exercise can be both social and enjoyable. So naturally, they built Throwback Fitness around this concept by creating a friendly environment with competition and motivation that really puts an emphasis on working together.Â
High intensity, less time
Instead of an hour-long workout, you will leave after just 45-minutes. Rather than allotting yourself two hours to get in a total body workout, the short time frame allows you to do exercises that will have you working multiple areas of your body instead of doing isolated movements that are time consuming. The result of this form of fitness means you are burning fat and gaining muscle even after you work out.
Schedule
For those who get bored of enduring the same workout regularly, this workout plan can be beneficial as it includes rowing, a warm up, and a physical education/recess portion that varies per session. So, you can expect a basketball game, baseball, dodgeball–something that will have you working hard and truly enjoying your workout.
Events
If you are looking to throw anything from a birthday party to a corporate event, Throwback Fitness will set it up for you. Their workout style is a great way to build leadership skills and communication between employees in a fun and interactive way.
Look forward to your workout and feel good about fitness by giving Throwback Fitness a try!
