Hydrate Your Skin with Micellar Water
I think the biggest question surrounding this product is why buy it? Considering the title includes the word water, many people don’t know the benefits that come from this product–benefits that you can’t get from your faucet at home.
What is it?
Micellar water pretty much acts in place of your current cleansers, makeup removers, and face wash. Though, disclaimer– if you wear a lot of makeup, specifically waterproof eye makeup, you may need a stronger makeup remover and instead this product can be used specifically as a cleanser or a wash.
What does it do?
Micellar water is a water based product that is attracted to oil–which means, it picks up the oil on your skin and does so without drying your skin out. As an added bonus, comparative to other cleansers, you don’t have to wash it off after you use it.
Brands
For the most part, every brand includes the same ingredient called micelles. The purpose of these micelles, are to pick up dirt and oil off your skin– a benefit you can’t get from your water at home. Many cosmetic companies have micellar products, but there is no company making micellar water better than another (though they may try to market otherwise). The only ingredient that really does the work of cleansing is the micelles. What this means is the drugstore brand is most likely just as good as a high-end brand name, so you don’t have to go and spend a fortune to benefit from this product.
Why should I buy it?
If you have sensitive skin, using cleansers with different acids and chemicals can sometimes be too harsh on your skin. Even though those products pick up dirt and makeup, they can also rid your skin of the natural oils that’s keep it healthy. Really all skin types can benefit from this product because it doesn’t leave your skin oily or dry, just refreshed and back to its natural state.
If your skincare routine isn’t as effective as it could be, give micellar water a try for a cheap and easy solution for your skin.
