Listen Up! These Motivational Podcasts Are Ones to Know
If you have yet to hop on the podcast bandwagon, you’re missing out. Not only can they be informative, but they also can be that boost of motivation you need!
The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her
Entrepreneurs (and husband and wife duo) Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick are hosts of one of my personal favorite podcasts, The Skinny Confidential. Each week they upload episodes that feature interviews with influencers, health professionals, beauty experts, and entrepreneurs, all of which leave you with nuggets of inspiration to walk away with. If you need anything from how to build a brand to top-notch relationship advice, TSC is for you.
Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations
In this podcast, Oprah interviews thought leaders, health and wellness experts, and other inspiring figures that will make you look a little deeper at life. If you want to better yourself, or hear someone else’s journey of how they did (which, in turn, will probably help you too), SuperSoul is the podcast to listen to. An episode I enjoyed was her Shonda Rhimes interview, in which they discuss Shonda’s “year of yes”, but there’s an entire backlog of motivational interviews that will give you the kick you need.
This podcast is quite literally all about motivation. It’s to the point (the episodes don’t run longer than 15 minutes), effective, and fresh. New episodes drop every Monday—the perfect day to hit the restart button and motivate yourself for the week again. If you need to find purpose again, listen to The Daily Boost.
Need an attitude adjustment? Looking to not just better yourself, but the lives around you? Where There’s Smoke is a podcast that will get you thinking more deeply about yourself and the world—through the lens of what’s currently going on around us. Creators Brett Gajda and Nick Jaworski pride themselves on hosting a podcast that combines what you love about The Daily Show and This American Life into a mashup that will both “entertain and educate.”
You may have heard of a little book called The Happiness Project. Well, the author of the motivational best-seller has a podcast, too, and it’s well worth the listen. The advice is for those who want a blueprint for how to live a happier, more well-rounded life. Episodes cover topics like changing habits, turning what you love to do into a job, why people behave the way they do, and tons more. Give Happier a listen, and let her advice shape you into a better you.
There’s no shame in admitting you need a little help with feeling motivated again. These podcasts are a perfect place to start.
