World Kindness Day: Random Acts of Kindness

Practice putting positivity into the world during this World Kindness Day! Here are a few ways to simply make the world a better place.

 

Donate

Pick a new organization to support! If you are having trouble finding an organization to donate to, you can use websites like Charity Navigator to find an organization that resonates with you and donate directly from the website.

Be kind to yourself

Remember to spread kindness to those around you, including yourself! Remember to pat yourself on the back every now and then–pay yourself a compliment, write down everything you have accomplished during the week, treat yourself to something you don’t get to do regularly.

Get active in your community

Volunteer work is a great way to practice selfless kindness. Lend a helping hand at a local soup kitchen, homeless shelter, and any other organizations in your community where you can give back by simply donating a little of your time for the greater good of the community. 

Send a text

Text a friend you don’t get to speak with often, a family member, or anyone you appreciate who you could voice that gratitude to. You would be surprised how a few kind words can change someone’s attitude for the day to come.

Use technology as a positive space

I think this is especially important in a day and age where social media can be misused. We need more than ever to create a more positive space online. Start a fundraiser on Facebook to go towards a good cause, endorse or recommend someone on LinkedIn just because. There are a lot of ways to use social media innovations for the greater good of society.

 

 

Make the most of this World Kindness day by taking action, and making the world a more constructive place to live in!
